With a build going for pure reflex early on, you can get to a point where you are frequently staggering bosses with red saber and doing imo insane damage. The spinning strong attack of Red Saber that hits twice can pretty much stunlock many enemies. The run attack of disciple ferula is nuts, hits like a truck and refills energy like one third to half with just single one of them alone. Btw, the major thespian armor (specifically the chest piece) that requires 5 of both foresight and cognition looks pretty awesome.Īs for raw power, foresight + reflex with (white) prophet hand with (corrupted) disciple ferula / red saber seems like it could be it. I found the somewhat obscure cognition + foresight build rather interesting that currently runs thespian hook with rad conductor and prophet hands (mostly white) / magic cubes. Would open up use of the heater spear if you can tolerate its hitbox issues and the architect armor, which is one of my personal favorites.

Use light and rad conductors instead of induction and entropy. I think this could be easily translated into a cognition build. You can feel this when using the pillar or Ulthos as you can often stagger enemies with a running light that wouldn't be staggered without.Īs a final note. I like the induction and entropy cubes because they have a boosted stagger passive. It has built in induction and while you can do both damage types together their status effect is antithetical.

Mainhand: Imbued Pillar (entropy or induction conductor), Ulthos hammer (induction conductor), greatsword (entropy or induction conductor)Īlways have a selection of both entropy and induction available as enemies strong against one are never strong against the other. Don't need a huge investment in energy as heavies leech hard. Enough stamina to do a running light > heavy > heavy combo for all 3 weapons was important to me. Enough strength to wield Ulthos then Foresight for main offensive dump stat. Here's hoping the devs can fix the issues quickly because this is a true example of a diamond in the extreme, s**t covered, maggot infested rough.Heavy/Magic build was most fun for me. If these issues were fixed I would say a solid 8+ but unfortunately the ability to lure players into an unfinished game only to choke their progress really breaks the experience and is more frustrating than rewarding. Missing currency/materials/weapons with poor hitboxes on certain melee gear, piss poor fast travel (also involves disappearing items that makes it so you can in no way 100% the game) etc are why I give this game a 2. There are obvious technical issues which arent a big deal as those are easy to patch. Watch out if you are a gun/magic user as a disappearing main gun will leave you without a way to defend yourself and you will have to restart. You can spend hours grinding only to have the super rare and limited resources/weapons you spent time on just disappear from your inventory leaving you high and dry.

The problem is that the game is half baked and nowhere near a full release.
